Job summary

Old Moat in Manchester is seeking a part-time cleaner to provide a flexible, customer-focused cleaning service within schools. The role runs 4 hours per day, 07:00-09:00 and 15:30-17:30, Monday to Friday.

You will work independently or as part of a team, following safety regulations and maintaining high cleanliness standards throughout school premises. DBS enhanced/standard disclosure checks apply. ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
• Ability to understand simple instructions.
• Ability to carry out cleaning functions to specified standards.
• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Ensure duties are undertaken safely according to health and safety regulations and city council policies.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness inside and outside school buildings.
• Safekeep and return keys, observe building security and confidentiality.
• Care for cleaning equipment, materials and storage areas.
• Provide efficient waste disposal and removal services.
• Identify and report faults promptly.
• Prepare rooms for use and clear after events or functions.
• Participate in training as required.
