Job summary

Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, Chatburn Road, Clitheroe, BB7 2BA, is seeking a Cleaner with Additional Duties. The role involves opening and closing the school, maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming premises, and supporting daily operations.

Two posts are available—am or pm—part‑time term time only, with pay reflecting pro‑rata annualised figures. The salary is £12.97 per hour plus a Foundation Living Wage supplement where applicable, in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education

Qualifications

• Essential: Experience of being a key holder or a position of responsibility.
• Desirable: Experience of working as a cleaner; Experience of working in a school or educational environment; Experience in operating powered machinery.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the school building and premises as required.
• Ensure premises are clean, safe and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Carry out additional duties as part of the role.
