Job summary

Mayflower Community Academy is seeking a reliable School Cleaner to join our friendly team in Plymouth. You will help ensure classrooms and the wider school environment are clean, hygienic and welcoming for pupils and staff each day.

Full induction and on-the-job training will be provided. Previous cleaning experience is not essential, as we will support you to develop the necessary skills and follow health and safety, safeguarding and GDPR procedures.

Qualifications

• Cleaning designated areas of the school to a high standard
• Vacuuming, sweeping, washing, polishing and dusting
• Emptying bins and cleaning toilets, fixtures and fittings
• Using cleaning equipment safely and appropriately
• Following daily, weekly and term-time cleaning schedules
• Helping to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for pupils and colleagues
• Reporting stock shortages, maintenance issues or equipment defects
• Following the school's health and safety, safeguarding, security and GDPR procedures

Responsibilities
