Job summary

Alderman’s Green Primary School in Coventry is hiring a reliable Cleaner to support a clean, safe environment for pupils and staff. You will join a dedicated school team, handling floors, surfaces and toilets with attention to hygiene and COSHH-compliant practices.

The role is 16 hours 15 minutes per week, with 39 teaching weeks per year. Salary is paid pro rata with start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wash floors.
• Dust and polish surfaces, furniture and fixtures.
• Clean toilets and showers to a high standard.
• Empty bins and manage waste appropriately.
• Clean windows and other designated areas.
• Safely use cleaning equipment in line with COSHH.
• Identify and report hazards and maintenance issues.
• Help keep the school clean and ready for pupils and staff.
