Job Opportunity: School Cleaner at a SEN School in Preston

A wonderful SEN school in the heart of Preston is seeking a flexible and hard-working cleaner to work before and after school on a part-time, long-term basis.

The role involves cleaning designated areas within the school premises as part of a school cleaning team. Training will be provided if required.

The working hours are from 7:00 to 8:30 am (flexible) and 3:30 to 5:30 pm during school days, on an ongoing long-term basis. There are opportunities for permanent employment for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, preferably with previous experience in an educational environment, understanding the requirements and expectations of a school cleaner role.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Vacuum cleaning and sweeping floors
2. Using appropriate powered cleaning equipment
3. Cleaning changing rooms, toilets, and shower facilities
4. Emptying litter bins
5. Reporting damage and low stock to the site manager

Cleaning staff are highly valued members of the school community. In recent times, cleaners have been promoted to trainee teaching assistants. For the right person willing to go the extra mile and be a friendly face to staff and pupils, there are further career prospects!
