Job summary

Elsecar Holy Trinity CofE Primary Academy invites applications for a diligent school cleaning role. You will help create a safe, hygienic environment for pupils, staff and visitors, contributing to a positive school community.

Join a supportive site team with regular hours and the chance for a long‑term position; training will be provided and there is an additional week of paid overtime during the summer holidays to undertake a full deep clean of the school.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential - training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas to a high standard
• Empty bins, remove waste and ensure recycling procedures are followed
• Vacuum, sweep, mop and polish floors as required
• Wipe down desks, surfaces, touch points and equipment
• Refill soap, paper towels and other hygiene supplies
• Ensure cleaning materials are used safely and stored correctly
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Site Manager
• Follow all school safeguarding, health & safety and infection‑control procedures
