Chartwells is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams. This role is contracted to 15 hours per week. Shifts are Mon-Fri, with a variety of duties across schools.

DBS disclosure checks apply and safeguarding is a priority. This post is part of Compass Group UK&I and helps support healthy, safe learning environments for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work well in a team with facilities staff.
• Flexible approach to working patterns.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Keep surfaces, floors and touchpoints sanitised regularly.
• Assist with general cleaning duties and spillages promptly.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies.
• Work with cleaning and facilities teams to maintain hygienic environments.

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Chartwells, contracted to 15 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. If you're a committed Cleaner looking for a role you'll shine in, we've got the position for you.

Here's an idea of what your shift patterns will be: Mon-Fri (Full Time Days).

Please note: This role is contracted to 42.6 weeks per year.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our Ideal Cleaner Will

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands‑on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
