Job Description:

Job Role: Chef De Partie
Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends. Shifts are 6:30 am - 2:30 pm or 10:30 am - 7 pm. The role is expected to start at the end of August after the bank holiday.
Salary: £15-£16 per hour
The Role: As Chef De Partie, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, reporting directly to the Head Chef. You will take charge of your section, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating seasonal, balanced menus catering to diverse dietary requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menus, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment. Assist with inventory management and stock ordering, ensuring efficient use of supplies and safety standards. Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring all dishes meet high culinary standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
What We're Looking For: Experience in a professional kitchen as a Chef De Partie. Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Experience with diverse cuisines is a plus. Ability to develop innovative dishes catering to various tastes and dietary needs. Supervisory experience, excellent team communication skills. Attention to hygiene and safety standards. Adaptability to changing menus and fast-paced environments. A passion for cooking and delivering high-quality dining experiences for students, staff, or visitors.
