Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting an ambitious School Chef to support universities with high-quality catering across 40 hours per week. You will prepare and serve meals that brighten students and staff days while upholding brand standards and safety.

You'll lead kitchen operations, implement menus, and respond to client feedback, with opportunities to develop your culinary skills within a market-leading food service company in the UK.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent is required.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Holding a Food Hygiene certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to continually improve services.
• Support with creation of new menus and creative concepts.
• Represent Universities and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting an ambitious School Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Universities on a permanent basis contracted to 40 hours per week. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the kind of food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days, all within the market-leading food service company in the UK.
