Job Details

• Job Title: School Chef
• Location: Hillingdon Manor School, Uxbridge UB8 3HD
• Salary: Up to GBP30,000.00 per annum (not pro-rata)
• Hours: 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
• Note: UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

We are recruiting a School Chef to join our team at Hillingdon Manor School in Uxbridge.

Purpose of the Role

To plan and prepare high-quality food and catering services for the School, and to manage and supervise all kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan menus considering the dietary needs of Service Users
• Monitor stocks by date rotation, portion control, and quality, within budget
• Set up and clean kitchen areas daily
• Prepare for daily and weekly demands of the School
• Minimize waste
• Provide suitable food for staff and Service Users with special dietary needs

Who Are We Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Good knowledge of catering practices and food safety
• Experience in menu planning with budget and nutritional considerations
• Management experience in a similar setting
• Supervisory and staff appraisal experience
