We work closely with a special school in the Newbury area that is looking for a dedicated individual to join their kitchen team as a chef. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing quality food and providing catering services to the school.

The Role

1. Plan menus for the school, considering the dietary needs of students.
2. Monitor stock levels through date rotation, portion control, and quality checks, adhering to budgetary controls.
3. Set up and clean the kitchen areas before and after daily use.
4. Prepare for the daily and weekly demands of the school.
5. Minimize waste wherever possible.

Candidate Requirements

This role is suitable for individuals seeking slightly reduced hours. Experience is not mandatory, but confidence in the kitchen and a similar role experience are preferable. Possessing a Food & Hygiene qualification is essential.
