Job summary

Chartwells Schools in the UK is recruiting an ambitious Chef to join our part-time team contracted to 25 hours per week, for 43.6 weeks per year. You will prepare and serve high-quality food, support menu changes, and uphold Chartwells’ brand across our school sites.

The ideal candidate holds City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, a Food Hygiene certificate, and proven experience supervising a kitchen. A flexible approach and commitment to food safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent and a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Have experience supervising a team and working as a Chef.
• Flexible approach to working and able to adapt to school kitchen routines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to continuously improve services.
• Support creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning and hygiene compliance.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Chartwells on a part time basis contracted to 25 hours per week. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the kind of food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days, all within the market-leading food service company in the UK. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Satefty regulations

Our Ideal Chef Will
