Location: North Shields
Salary: £24,000–£30,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

We’re working with a compassionate and inclusive secondary school in North Shields that’s on the lookout for a School Chaplain who can offer spiritual guidance, a listening ear, and a steady presence for students and staff alike.
Whether you’re an ordained minister, trained chaplain, or someone with strong pastoral experience and a heart for youth work, this role is all about being there when it matters most. You’ll be part mentor, part confidant, part calm-in-the-storm.
What your day might look like:
Leading assemblies and reflective sessions
Offering one-to-one pastoral support to pupils and staff
Supporting the school’s ethos of kindness, inclusion, and respect
Creating a safe, confidential space for students of all faiths and none
Working closely with safeguarding and wellbeing teams

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
