Job summary

Holroyd Howe in Stowe, Buckingham, is seeking a friendly Food Service Assistant to support day-to-day meals across the school, delivering high-quality, nutritious food with care, efficiency and attention to detail.

As part of a team of experienced catering professionals, you will help manage allergens, follow safety procedures and provide excellent service to pupils, staff and visitors, with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume or contract catering.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Flexible, customer-focused and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation, service and presentation of food to a high standard.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
• Assist with food labelling, temperature checks and allergen controls.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Set up and clear service areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures.
• Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions.
• Champion allergen controls and safe dining practices.
