Job summary

ISS Facilities Services is hiring a Catering Team Leader for term-time operations at local schools in Billingshurst. You will lead a small catering team, deliver meals to meet menus and dietary needs, and uphold food safety and quality.

This role involves supervising the day-to-day operation, managing stock and reporting, and building positive relationships with students and staff. A full UK driving licence is required as you travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering supervisory or management role is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
• Food preparation and customer service skills desirable.
• Good understanding of food safety, health & safety, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the catering team to deliver excellent food and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, safeguarding, and company policies.
• Deliver high-quality meals in line with menus, dietary requirements, and food standards.
• Build positive relationships with clients, students, and colleagues.
• Manage stock, ordering, food production, and waste control effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reporting.
