Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Catering Assistant to support daily operation of the school catering unit. You will assist with basic food prep, serving meals, maintaining hygienic dining areas and promoting meals to pupils and staff.

Role requires teamwork, good communication, and the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Training may be provided to meet essential criteria and standards.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages using appropriate equipment.
• Simple cooking including reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks.
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintaining hygiene and cleaning dining and kitchen areas.
• Recording temperatures for control purposes.
