Job summary

Farringtons School is seeking an experienced Catering Operations Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support for the school’s catering function, serving meals for around 620 pupils and 200 staff daily.

You will manage catering budgets, contracts, supplier records, and food safety and allergen compliance, lead staffing coordination, arrange cover, and ensure records are accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative role within a school or catering environment.
• Ability to monitor budgets and manage invoices.
• Strong IT skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support for the school’s catering function.
• Monitor catering expenditure against budgets and support financial controls.
• Lead admin for food safety and allergen records and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate staffing, arrange staff cover, and ensure records are up to date.
• Ensure catering contracts and supplier information are accurate and managed.
• Work with catering team and school staff to meet day-to-day catering needs.
