Job summary

Prospere Learning Trust is seeking a Catering Manager for Chorlton High School. The role is a permanent, full-time post (37.5 hours) running Monday to Friday during term time plus 5 INSET days.

You will lead a ~20-strong kitchen team, ensure high standards of service, hygiene and customer care, and manage payroll and reports. The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking (or working towards it), strong leadership, and IT skills, with a commitment to continuous

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in managing staff in a fast-paced catering environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable motivating others, managing performance and day-to-day people management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a catering team of ~20 staff including recruitment, induction and performance management.
• Deliver a high-quality, cost-effective catering service in line with SLAs and legislation.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety and COSHH at all times.
• Follow pre-planned menus to meet nutritional standards and customer needs.
• Complete payroll returns and financial administration per Trust procedures.
• Maintain electronic records and use MS Office to support operations.
• Drive excellent customer service across the catering provision.
