Job summary

Berkeley Scott is recruiting Temporary School Catering Assistants to support busy school kitchens across Exeter and surrounding areas. You'll help with food preparation, serving meals to pupils and staff, and maintaining clean, safe work areas during daytime term-time shifts.

A current Enhanced DBS certificate is required or willing to obtain one; prior kitchen or catering experience is helpful but not essential.

Berkeley Scott seeks School Catering Assistants - Temp - Exeter to support busy school kitchens across the city and nearby areas, including primary, secondary and academy sites. These temporary, term-time roles suit reliable people who enjoy working within school catering. Duties include assisting with food preparation, serving meals to pupils, clearing tables and keeping work areas clean and tidy. Daytime shifts are offered, with weekly pay, holiday pay accrued and ongoing assignments available. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain a current Enhanced DBS certificate. Prior kitchen experience helps, though a strong work ethic, teamwork and food hygiene awareness matter most. We are currently recruiting Temporary Catering Assistants to join busy school catering teams around Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone reliable, hardworking, and passionate about working within school catering environments.
