Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a Catering Team Member at King Edward VI School, Southampton, on a term-time basis. You will support day-to-day food service, helping deliver nutritious meals to pupils, staff, and visitors with care and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract or high-volume catering is preferred.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge and practices.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude and customer focus.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and reliable team player.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with others to achieve targets.
• Flexible approach to shifts and duties.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, service, and presentation of food to a high standard.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
• Assist with food labelling, temperature checks, and allergen controls.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Set up and clear service areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures.
• Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions.
