Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a Catering Team Member at King Edward VI school in Southampton. The role supports daily food service and delivery, ensuring nutritious meals with care and efficiency for pupils, staff and visitors.

The position is term-time only and requires enthusiasm, reliability, and a customer-focused approach. You will join a team delivering high standards of service while adhering to safety and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract or high-volume catering is preferred.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge is required.
• Flexible, customer-focused and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail; works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation, service, and presentation of food to a high standard.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
• Assist with food labeling, temperature checks, and allergen controls.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Set up and clear service areas to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures.
• Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions.
