Job summary

Aspens Services in Shrewsbury is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our school catering operations during lunchtimes, helping with basic food prep and customer service. You will play a vital role in delivering a smooth lunchtime rush with a focus on friendly service and safety.

We welcome candidates with catering or fast-paced service experience. Food Hygiene Level 2 is helpful but not essential as we provide training. Term-time, part-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• You have a basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is great, but not essential as we can provide the training!

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (full training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Keeping a safe, clean kitchen and complying with Health and Safety.
