Job summary

Coxlease School in Lyndhurst is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our catering team. You will support basic food preparation, hygiene and help promote healthy eating to support the wellbeing of our Children and Young People.

The role is 9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only, with duties including assisting with meal preparation under the Chef and ensuring kitchen hygiene standards are met. Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in preparing and cooking meals is advantageous but not essential.
• Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation and cooking of meals under the Chef and in line with policies.
• Under direction, takes responsibility for parts of the catering operation.
• Ensures kitchen and associated areas meet hygiene standards and comply with policies.
