Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting a General Catering Assistant at Hagley Catholic High School in Stourbridge. The role supports daily catering operations, helping with preparation, serving, and maintaining hygiene in a busy school dining environment.

Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 10:30am–2:00pm, 17.5 hours per week, term time only. The role offers a supportive team, training, and opportunities to contribute to high-quality service while balancing school term timings.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable attitude.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks.
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required.
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors.
