Job summary

The Supply Register in Liverpool is seeking a School Catering Assistant to support food preparation, service and hygiene in a busy school kitchen during term time. Hours are 10am–2pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of different days.

Applicants should have catering/kitchen experience, strong teamwork and excellent communication skills, and be committed to high standards of food safety.

Qualifications

• DBS certificate on update service is desirable/required
• Provide a minimum of two references covering the last 24 months
• Right to work in the UK is essential

Responsibilities

• Support food preparation, serving, washing up and cleaning.
• Follow highest standards of food safety and HSE requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared with regard to special dietary requirements and allergies.
• Assist the cook with recipe costing, stock control and record keeping.
• Use strong communication to work with colleagues and pupils.
