Concept Resources is recruiting a School Catering Assistant for a busy primary school in Bognor Regis, PO22.

20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10:00am to 2:00pm, £13.50 per hour. Temporary position until 23 October 2026.

You will assist with meal preparation, service to pupils and staff, dining area setup, and maintaining hygiene in line with food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate is essential.
• Enhanced DBS preferred.
• Experience in catering, kitchen or school meals preferred.
• Good understanding of food hygiene standards.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable working in a school environment.
• Able to work Monday to Friday for the duration of the assignment.

We are recruiting for a School Catering Assistant to work within a busy primary school in Bognor Regis .

This is a daytime, Monday-to-Friday role supporting the school kitchen team with the preparation and service of meals to pupils and staff.

Duties

• Assisting with the preparation of school meals
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Setting up dining and service areas
• Supporting the kitchen team during lunch service
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Cleaning work surfaces, kitchen and dining areas
• Following food hygiene and allergen procedures
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate – essential
