Job summary

Ingfield Manor School, part of Salutem Care and Education, is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to support our busy school catering team. You will help prepare and serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and assist students during mealtimes. Hours are 09:30–14:30, 25 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks).

Experience in catering is desirable but training will be provided. A positive team spirit and commitment to high food hygiene standards are essential to thrive in our dining service.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or kitchen roles desirable.
• Ability to work in a busy school environment.
• Training will be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and ingredient prep.
• Serve meals to staff and students.
• Maintain hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Receive, organize and store deliveries.
• Support students during meal service.
• Set up dining service equipment.
• Follow food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Attend training and undertake other duties as directed.
