Equans is seeking a Caretaker in Birmingham to join our team. This permanent, full-time role offers £26,728.21 to £28,700 per year and supports school premises, ensuring safety, security and operational conditions.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in caretaking, premises or building maintenance.
• Good general DIY and maintenance skills.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
• Physically able to undertake manual handling and work at height.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• The Caretaker is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, care and availability of the education premises, including the building fabric, furniture, fittings, equipment and mechanical and electrical assets.
