Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a School Caretaker to deliver excellent service standards at Springwell Community College, Chesterfield. The role requires maintaining a safe, clean environment and adhering to cleaning schedules and SLA agreements.

The position is permanent and full-time, offering 25 hours per week at £13.31 per hour. Candidates should be reliable, able to work independently, and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe condition and understand cleaning materials used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk requests, unlock/lock buildings, and perform porterage and room setups.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance tasks including fire alarm tests and emergency light checks.

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
