Job summary

Mitie is seeking a School Caretaker at Roundhay School in Leeds. The role is permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week with evening shifts 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tue, Wed and Fri.

You will maintain premises, respond to helpdesk requests, and perform routine safety checks. The ideal candidate will have caretaking experience (preferred), be reliable and professional, able to work independently or as part of a team, and commit to safeguarding with an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
