Hours can start from as early as 6/6:30 am and as late as 6 pm (later if an event is on).

As a School Caretaker, you will be a key holder with possible open/closing responsibilities. You will have experience in maintenance, repairs, and DIY. Tasks will include:

  1. General school maintenance for the building and grounds.
  2. Repairing faults across the school and playgrounds.
  3. Conducting fire safety, security, and H&S checks for the site.
  4. Event setup and takedown.
  5. Support and assist colleagues to conduct specific/ad hoc caretaking tasks when required.
  6. Ensuring the school and grounds are clean and tidy.
  7. Dealing with both external and internal contractors.
  8. Grounds work.

You will need to be able to communicate effectively with the SLT & pupils to ensure projects run smoothly. You will be committed to achieving high standards, highly motivated, flexible, and hardworking.
