Job summary

Redhill Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Carer to support a student at South Nottinghamshire Academy. The role involves providing communication, personal care, mobility and emotional support during the school day, closely liaising with SENDCo and teaching staff.

The position offers part-time hours (32.5 per week) during term time, with career development through CPD and opportunities for professional growth within the Trust. DBS checks and safeguarding are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as described in the role.
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs is desirable.
• Comfort with personal care, mobility support and therapeutic programmes while upholding dignity and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide communication, personal care, mobility and emotional support throughout the school day.
• Assist with EHCP outcomes and use specialist communication tools where appropriate; support physiotherapy and personal care programmes; promote independence and wellbeing.
