Abbott Community Primary School in Manchester is seeking a highly organised, flexible and adaptable School Business Manager to join Abbott’s Senior Leadership Team. This post will play a pivotal role in the strategic management of staff, resources and premises to facilitate the child and family centred work of our school.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills to relate to children, families, staff and partners.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial reporting and controls; monitoring wraparound care to prevent arrears.
  • Extensive senior-level experience including staff, premises, HR policies and payroll procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Play pivotal role in strategic management of staff, resources and premises to support child and family centred work.
  • Work as part of Abbott’s Senior Leadership Team.
  • Lead on safeguarding and promote welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Contribute to continuous school improvement and professional development.

Salary: £47,181 - £51,356 per annum

The Governing Body wish to appoint a highly organised, flexible and adaptable School Business Manager to join Abbott’s Senior Leadership Team.

This post will play a pivotal role in the strategic management of staff, resources and premises, to facilitate the child and family centred work of our school.

The successful candidate will be a strong team player, who is passionate and motivated and will be committed to the positive ethos of the school.

You will have:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relate well and communicate with our children, families, staff and partners.
  • Experience of managing budgets, financial reporting and maintaining systems of controls.The role will also involve the monitoring of our wraparound care provision, to ensure that families do not fall into arrears.
  • Considerable experience working at a senior level; including the management of staff, premises, HR policies and payroll procedures.
