A local primary school is seeking a School Business Manager to oversee financial services and provide administrative support to the Headteacher. School Business Manager (Grade 5) / Clerk to Governors (CG4)
Salary: £22,065 to £23,936 per annum with progression to SO1/SO2 from September 2026 plus Clerks salary £2,663 per annum
32.50 hours per week, term time only

Due to the retirement of our highly experienced School Business Manager in July 2026 we are wishing to appoint a candidate to begin the handover process from December 2025 (on a Scale 5 with view to progression to SO1/SO2 from September 2026). The successful candidate will complete the training for new WCC finance system being introduced from January 2026 as part of the handover.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly organised School Business Manager to join our friendly, supportive team at Tenacres. It is expected the successful candidate will also take on the role of Clerk to Governors which would involve attending up to 10 evening meetings during the school year.
The successful candidate will manage the provision for the financial support services and provide confidential administrative support to the Headteacher.
