Job description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a School Business Manager to join a Multi-Academy Trust based across Sheffield and Derby on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on financial planning and management, including preparing budgets, monitoring expenditure, and forecasting in line with Trust and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and compliance with employment legislation and safeguarding standards.
  • Manage premises, health and safety, and facilities to ensure a safe, efficient and compliant learning environment.
  • Oversee procurement and ensure best value in all financial decisions.
  • Lead and develop administrative and site teams, ensuring effective deployment and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, GDPR and data protection standards.
  • Contribute to the academy's strategic leadership, supporting school improvement and development planning.
  • Oversee marketing and communications, including public relations, website and social media presence.
  • Work collaboratively with the Trust, external partners, and the wider community to enhance opportunities for the academy.

About You:

You will be a highly organised, proactive and strategic individual with a strong background in financial and operational management. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across the school community and beyond.

Location - Split between Sheffield and Derby.
