School Bus Driver

Location: Heywood

Salary: £13 - £14 per hour

Our client is looking for drivers to join their school bus team. Join the Elite Driver Academy and Serve Your Community with Pride!

Attention all skilled drivers! They are assembling an elite team of bus drivers to make a meaningful impact in Greater Manchester. As a key player in connecting people and places, you'll become an integral part of the local community, touching the lives of thousands with your exceptional driving skills.

Please note if you are a trainee driver, the training they provide may be up to 5 weeks and full-time hours.

Working on a dedicated 20-hour a week contract, you'll be a friendly and recognisable face responsible for getting the youngsters of their city safely to their school and back home again.

You'll be following the school term dates of the school you're running to, and you will be paid on a pro-rata basis - meaning you'll be paid for every week of the year, even when it's the school holidays.

An enhanced DBS safeguarding check will be required due to the nature of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  2. Drive to DSA standards.
  3. Take cash, contactless, and mobile app payments.

Skills and Qualifications
  1. Possess a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points and the right to work in the UK.
  2. Prior experience as a bus driver is welcomed, but enthusiastic newcomers will also be considered.
  3. A positive, outgoing attitude with excellent communication skills to engage and assist passengers from all walks of life.
  4. A knack for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment on board.
  5. Ability to undergo necessary training and acquire a PCV licence through their esteemed Driver Academy.
  6. A commitment to safety, punctuality, and teamwork, ensuring the smooth operation of their bus services.
