Job summary

HPFT is seeking a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist to join the MHST South team across 3Rivers, Hertsmere and Watford. The post offers a pathway to senior clinical leadership while consolidating specialist CBT skills in educational settings.

The role involves supervising EMHPs and SWPs, carrying out triage, assessments and risk management, and delivering CBT-informed interventions to children and families in schools, with opportunities for safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in triage and psychological assessment in educational settings.
• Ability to supervise EMHPs, SWPs and other staff within MHST.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and risk management in schools.

Responsibilities

• Triage and provide psychological assessment and interventions for children and young people in educational settings.
• Attend university to complete a Postgraduate Certification in Supervision (if not already completed).
• Undertake risk assessments and maintain risk management in line with safeguarding policies.
• Provide specialist psychological support to clients, carers and staff.
• Offer consultation to teachers and family workers on mental health in schools.
• Develop emotional wellbeing initiatives through educational workshops and PSHE activities.
