Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is expanding its Student Assistance Program in Gloucester. The Case Manager delivers short term school-based prevention services to youth at risk of substance misuse, helping them develop coping skills and access community resources.

Responsibilities include school counseling, prevention education, coordinating outreach, and maintaining required records. Travel to outreach sites is expected; a Bachelor's in counseling/psychology/social work and a valid driver's license

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field required.
Experience working with youth, families and substance use issues; ability to complete documentation electronically.
Written documentation must be timely and well done.
Must have valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to transport persons served.

Responsibilities

Provide school-based individual and group prevention services under supervision.
Facilitate prevention education activities in classrooms and campaigns.
Assist in planning outreach events and provide outreach at least one evening per week.
Maintain program logs, outcomes measurements, and required paperwork.
Represent the program at community events, health fairs, and coalitions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
