Job description

Are you a skilled barber with a passion for mentoring young people? We are looking for a School Barber to join our team and deliver bespoke interventions for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to use your barbering expertise as a tool to build trust, boost confidence, and create safe spaces for positive conversations with students.

What you'll do:
  • Provide barbering and grooming sessions for pupils in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Use 1:1 and small group sessions as an intervention strategy to support students with SEMH needs.
  • Build strong, positive relationships to encourage self-esteem, confidence, and resilience.
  • Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to track progress and outcomes.
  • Act as a positive role model, helping students engage with school life.
What we\'re looking for:
  • Qualified and experienced barber (Level 2/3 or equivalent).
  • Experience working with young people, ideally those with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
