Job summary

Ellesmere Park High School (part of Consilium Academies) is seeking an Attendance Assistant to monitor daily attendance, make first-day contact with parents, and maintain accurate records. The role supports interventions and liaises with students, families and staff to resolve attendance concerns.

Starting January 2027, the post is based at Ellesmere Park High School in Manchester. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Confident, professional communication with students, parents and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and management information systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily attendance.
• Make first-day absence contact with parents and carers.
• Maintain accurate attendance records.
• Support interventions to improve attendance and punctuality.
• Liaise with students, families and staff to address attendance concerns.
• Work with Attendance Officer and wider pastoral team.
• Support attendance meetings.
• Escort authorised staff on home visits when required.
