Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced Administrator/Receptionist for a Secondary School in Trafford.

We are looking for an experienced School Administrator to join our dedicated team and ensure the efficient operation of our school's administrative functions.

To support our growing school, we seek an enthusiastic Administrator to join our administration team.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Manage day-to-day administrative operations, including attendance, student records, and correspondence.
  2. Undertake clerical duties such as producing letters, reports, and documents using ICT packages like spreadsheets, databases, Word, internet, and SIMS.
  3. Serve as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, providing excellent customer service.
  4. Coordinate school events, meetings, and schedules.
  5. Maintain financial records, process invoices, and handle petty cash.
  6. Assist with HR tasks, including staff onboarding, record-keeping, and compliance.
  7. Support the Senior Leadership Team with administrative tasks and projects.
  8. Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Maths & English GCSE Grades 4-9 (A-C) or equivalent.
  • Proven administrative experience in a school or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and school management software (SIMS).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and resilience.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and confidentiality protocols.
Experience:
  • SIMS: 1 year (desirable)
  • Working within a school office: 1 year (desirable)
  • Administration experience: 3 years (essential)
