Are you an experienced, highly organised, and collaborative administrator with a passion for supporting education? We're seeking a School Administration Manager to join our dedicated team at a Blackpool Secondary Academy within a Multi Academy Trust. This pivotal role offers the chance to make a real impact, working closely with senior leadership to ensure the smooth and efficient running of this school.
As the School Administration Manager, you'll be an integral part of our senior leadership team, providing essential administrative, financial, and organisational services. Your strategic focus will be to collaborate with the Head of School and other senior leaders to ensure all administrative and internal procedures are robust and compliant. You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining all administrative functions, including leading and managing a skilled administration team. This role is Monday - Friday 8:30-4pm daily.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing all administrative functions, ensuring external communications reflect our Academy and Trust's brand and values.
Ensuring local compliance across key areas such as GDPR, Health & Safety, Safeguarding (including the Single Central Record), and visitor/contractor management.
Administering daily financial operations within Trust policies and processes.
Managing transactional HR and payroll responsibilities to ensure timely processing.
Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring.
Administering purchase and sales ledger functions.
Line managing school office staff, including training and appraisals.
Analysing and evaluating data to provide reports for the senior leadership team and the wider Trust.
This role offers a competitive salary based on NJC Grade G, Scale 25-28. The appointment is subject to the conditions of service for support staff employed by the Multi Academy Trust, which are based on the National Joint Council (NJC) for Local Government Services, along with any locally agreed variations and all relevant employment legislation. This role will commence on a temporary contract basis before transferring to a permanent role based on the suitability and success of the individual, the time line for this is January 2026.
