Job summary

Progress Arc - Billinge School, now part of The Progress Group, seeks a School Administrator to support administrative operations and help shape a positive learning environment for pupils.

You will contribute to safeguarding, equality and wellbeing initiatives while coordinating admin tasks and supporting staff and students in a busy school setting.

Qualifications

  • Academic background in Business Administration or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience in school or business administration.
  • Knowledge of equality of opportunity, safeguarding, child protection and inclusion in schools with vulnerable pupils.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and making effective decisions.
  • Professional communication with students and staff.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing and British values.
  • Effective time management for planning, delivery and assessment.

Salary - £26,000

Full time: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Term Time only + 1 week flexible (exam results day etc.)

What are we looking for from you?
  • Academic Background: Business Administration relevant qualification (desirable), Safeguarding qualification (desirable)

  • Experience: Experience in school or business administration.

  • Knowledge: Equality of opportunity, safeguarding, child protection and inclusion issues and how they can be addressed effectively in schools with high levels of vulnerable children

  • Problem-Solving: Aptitude for solving problems and making effective decisions.

More about the school you will work in

You’ll be based at Progress Arc - Billinge School which has recently been taken over by The Progress Group. Formally known as Nugent House School, this is an exciting time to join us as we embark on a new chapter in the school’s journey.

Our school has a maximum student capacity of 110 and situated across 4 buildings set within beautiful grounds and vast outdoor spaces. It includes spaces for vocational and academic learning as well as therapeutic support. We have Occupational Therapists on site, as well as colleagues who are trained to provide alternative therapies. Our strong teaching and support team are passionate about empowering our young people to achieve their unique potential, and that’s just what you will help us to do. We aren’t looking for professionals to just teach, but who can help to architect, motivative, empower and inspire, because we want every one of our young people to have the opportunities that they deserve.
