School Administrator - Bromley
Academics Ltd are currently working with a friendly and welcoming school in Bromley who are looking to appoint an experienced School Administrator to join their busy school office team.
Previous experience working within a school environment is essential. We are looking for an organised, reliable and proactive administrator who understands the demands of a busy school office and can provide effective administrative support across the school.
The Role
- Providing efficient administrative support to the school and wider office team.
- Maintaining accurate pupil and school records.
- Updating information on the school's management information system.
- Responding to emails, telephone calls and general enquiries.
- Supporting attendance and pupil administration.
- Preparing letters, documents, reports and correspondence.
- Completing general office duties including filing, scanning, photocopying and data entry.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
- Assisting staff, parents, pupils and visitors with queries in a professional and helpful manner.
- Supporting the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff with administrative tasks.
- Handling confidential information appropriately and maintaining high standards of safeguarding at all times.
The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Have:
- Previous school-based administration experience - essential.
- Experience working within a busy school office environment.
- Experience using SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or another school MIS is desirable.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A friendly, professional and approachable manner.
- The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
- A good understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding within a school setting.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
