Job Title: School Administrative Officer

Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm)

Salary: £22,583.28 - £24,070.65 (Scale 4 pro rata)

Contract: Term Time, Full Time, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP after appointment

Overview

The Governors wish to appoint a highly pro-active, enthusiastic and experienced Administrative Officer to join our inclusive and supportive team at this expanding primary school, which Ofsted once again judged to be a Good school in July 2024.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside our existing team to provide efficient and effective financial administrative, and clerical support to the headteacher, staff, pupils, and wider school community. This is an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our school office while supporting the delivery of high-quality education of our pupils.

Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient and effective financial administrative and clerical support to the headteacher, staff, pupils, and wider school community.
  • Support the smooth running of the school office and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education for pupils.
Person specification / Qualifications
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in financial systems, budget monitoring, and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, and visitors.
  • IT proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, and school management systems (SIMS experience desirable).
  • A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
