Job summary

St Catherine's RC School in Greater London is seeking an experienced School Accountant to join our two-form entry primary school and nursery for 10 hours per week. Hours can be worked flexibly across two days to support essential financial operations.

You will work closely with the School Business Manager and senior leadership, delivering accurate reporting, robust controls and compliant processes that underpin the school's financial governance and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with professional credentials (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in management accounting and financial compliance.
• Experience in finance roles within education or public sector environments.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of school funding, financial compliance, and education finance regulations.
