Location: Colchester (Hybrid Working)

• £45,000 - £60,000 + 15% bonus (with multipliers for overperformance)

The Schemes Development Underwriter Role:

• Build and maintain strong broker relationships to develop profitable schemes.
• Underwrite new and existing business on a case-by-case basis and at the account level.
• Monitor and manage your portfolio, identifying opportunities and making strategic adjustments.
• Refine and evolve underwriting guides to stay competitive.
• Lead broker workshops to share insights and enhance underwriting knowledge.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and efficiency in underwriting practices.
• Take ownership of delivering profitable growth and maintaining a high-performing portfolio.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven experience as an underwriter, preferably within commercial lines or schemes.
• Strong track record of building and managing broker relationships.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Confidence in managing a portfolio and driving performance improvements.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work independently.
