Job description

£32,669 a year

Longport, Stoke-on-Trent

Hours per week: 40.25

Contract type: Permanent

You will manage the team at our 24/7 Young Persons Scheme, ensuring that everyone has the right support, training, and tools to work independently and confidently. You will ensure that customers receive the appropriate support to maintain their tenancy and develop positive relationships with other customers and the community.

This role involves a rota system including evenings and weekends. You will also be required to manage additional schemes at different times as per the rota.

Job Requirements
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of Concretes' 24/7 young persons accommodation service, including building management and security.
  • Lead recruitment, selection, and induction of new staff, supporting and training them with a clear understanding of their responsibilities.
  • Support and lead staff to provide a personalized, cost-effective, and high-quality housing management and support service 24/7.
  • Manage referrals to the scheme, including working with external agencies through multi-agency panels.
  • Oversee regular house meetings with residents and staff, ensuring the voices of residents are heard and acted upon.
  • Participate in the management team with other Scheme Managers and deputize for the Operations Manager (24/7 Schemes) as required. Also, participate in the management on-call rota.
  • Lead financial and administrative duties, such as budget control and record keeping.
What We're Looking For
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in housing management.
  • Experience in project delivery.
  • Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) membership or willingness to work towards it.
  • Strong self-awareness, self-management, and professionalism skills.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in people management and HR processes.
  • Experience supporting financial processes, including expense and invoice processing.
  • Process development and improvement skills.
  • Idea generation and implementation skills.
  • Solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • An inspirational leader capable of empowering, developing, and coaching others.
  • DBS check clearance.
  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle for work.
