We have an amazing opportunity for a customer service clerk/rostering professional/call centre superstar to step up as a Scheduling Officer on a permanent part-time basis working 136 hours per month on a rotating roster. You will have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts above your contracted hours. Offering great flexibility and working within our highly motivated Scheduling Support Central team, you will be responsible for the scheduling of disability support workers to shifts on an as needs basis.

Working in a time-sensitive and often high-pressure environment, the day-to-day responsibilities of the Scheduling Officer include:

  • Working with operational leaders to identify and seek solutions for vacancy management.
  • Allocation of resources according to shift vacancies, participant funding and NDIA line items.
  • Clear, concise and professional communication of scheduling decisions to all stakeholders.
  • Regular review and analysis of rosters of support and other workplace information to optimise workforce utilisation.
  • Interpret and apply relevant Award conditions and National Employment Standards ensuring this is factored in to all resource allocation.

Working on a monthly rotating roster, the allocated shifts will involve:

Week 1 - Wed - 6am to 3pm

Thu - 6am to 3pm

Fri - 11am to 8pm

Week 2 - Wed - 6am to 3pm

Thu - 2pm to 11pm

Fri - 2pm to 11pm

Sat - 11am to 8pm

Sun - 11am to 2pm

Week 3 - Wed - 2pm to 11pm

Thu - 2pm to 11pm

Sat - 11am to 8pm

Sun 6am to 3pm

Week 4 - Mon - 11am to 8pm

Thu - 11am to 8pm

Fri - 11am to 8pm

Sat - 6am to 3pm

About You:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to read, interpret and follow rostering principles, award requirements and internal processes and procedures.
  • Advanced experience to utilise and navigate a range of technology systems.
  • Exceptional administrative skills, including competence in navigating a variety of platforms.
  • Experience and success in building professional relationships partnering with business leaders and service users.
  • Advanced customer service skills, attention to details and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Appropriate record keeping as well as concise and timely decision-making skills.
