PRODUCTION SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

SHIPLEY

PERMANENT

SALARY £32k

Our client, a large engineering business based near Shipley, has an immediate requirement to recruit a well-versed production scheduling coordinator to join their growing team.

As the production scheduling coordinator, you will assist in the planning process and interact with and influence many other departments in the business.

Your duties as the production scheduling coordinator will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Sales during the quote phase, providing lead time estimates.
  • Ensure Production Engineering makes timely Make/Buy decisions and produce routings for Make parts to enable production works orders to start on time.
  • Contact Finance to perform standard cost build-ups on Make parts to enable Production Works Orders to be produced.
  • Check MRP requirements for purchased items to be ordered, and acknowledge late/missing delivery dates.
  • Update completed operations.
  • Produce schedules for Bar Stores.
  • Produce MRP Exception Listing spreadsheet.
  • Arrange stock checks for missing parts to clarify actions needed. Work with Assembly Inspection to raise IRs for lost parts.
  • Check for surplus stock and move items to NONCON.
  • Attend production meetings, providing feedback and receiving requests.
  • Work with Stores, Inspection, and Despatch departments to arrange picking, packing, and shipping.

You should already have experience in a similar manufacturing environment, working with MRP systems, BOMs, and routings.

You will also have strong interpersonal skills, good communication, and be a team player at all levels.
